To promote a community where persons with disabilities are fully integrated, valued, empowered, and enjoy equal opportunities, living with dignity and respect.
To empower persons with disabilities by fostering an inclusive, supportive, and accessible community where they can achieve their full potential and actively participate in all aspects of life.
We foster social and economic progress by delivering tailored vocational training, providing advocacy and support, and promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities across Wajir County, Kenya.
We believe that persons with disabilities should have equal opportunities to develop their skills, earn a livelihood, and achieve economic independence. We support persons with disabilities through life skills development, vocational skills empowerment, entrepreneurship and self-reliance initiatives, livelihood opportunities, economic empowerment, capacity building, and linkages to relevant opportunities and services.
We advocate for the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities at community and institutional levels. Our advocacy efforts focus on promoting the rights of persons with disabilities, advocating for inclusive education, promoting equal access to social services, supporting disability-inclusive development, addressing stigma and discrimination, promoting equal opportunities, and engaging stakeholders on disability inclusion.
Creating an inclusive society begins with awareness and understanding. We conduct community awareness and sensitization activities aimed at promoting positive attitudes towards persons with disabilities. We strengthen families and communities by establishing and strengthening disability support groups, training parents and caregivers, promoting appropriate disability care and support, sharing information and practical knowledge, providing psychosocial support and peer networks, and connecting families with relevant services.
